Durham Parks and Recreation offers a wide variety of programs for teens all across the city. Our recreation centers create individualized programming and activities with teens in mind. From having Teen Pool Party's to Open Gym Basketball to Off Site Field Trips, we've got something for everyone to enjoy. Not only do we have programming specifically tailored to teens, but we also offer free access to the fitness centers, aquatic centers, city lakes and more.
Interested in swinging by one of our fitness centers for the day? A daily activity pass includes general admission to indoor pools, drop-in exercise programs, open gym, and use of exercise equipment at any DPR facility. No cost for city residents and $5 cost for non-city residents.
Looking to swim a few laps or hang out at the pool with friends? Cool off this summer by checking out our indoor and outdoor pools as well as our spray grounds. No cost for city residents and $5 cost for non-city residents.
Enjoy the great outdoors and spend the afternoon bank fishing with your friends! Whether you're looking to go for a day or a season, city resident teens are free! Non-city residents per day pay $5, seasonal pass pay $15..
Have you heard the exciting news? Teens who are 13-18 years old are now able to sign up for a Youth GoPass and ride GoDurham, GoRaleigh, GoCary or GoTriangle buses free! We’re excited to announce that several of our Recreation Centers are official Youth GoPass Pick-Up Locations! Visit us to complete your application and bring a copy of your birth certificate, a valid school ID, license or other government-issued ID as a proof of your age.

2019 Night Flight Teen Basketball League
Interested in playing basketball? Want to enhance your skills? Join DPR’s free teen basketball league, Night Flight, for the 2019 season! Seven of our Recreation Center are participating in the league and creating teams. Those include I.R. Holmes, Sr. Recreation Center at Campus Hills, Walltown Park Recreation Center, Holton Career & Resource Center, W.D. Hill Recreation Center, Weaver Street Recreation Center, Community Family Life & Recreation Center at Lyon Park, and Edison Johnson Recreation Center. Visit your local Recreation center to sign up.
