Discover the perfect blend of fun and flexibility with our Half Day Camps! Tailored for convenience, these camps run for four engaging hours per day, offering a week-long exploration of themed activities. With both morning and afternoon sessions available (times may vary), parents enjoy the flexibility of choosing the time that best suits their schedule. While our Half Day Camps skip swimming and field trips, they make up for it with a concentrated focus on the selected theme or activity. DPR's Half Day Summer Camps are designed for school-aged children ages 5-12.

Treat yourself: Self Care & Wellness!  

Campers will have a clear understanding of what self-care and wellness means, why it’s important and how to sustain it! Campers will learn mental, physical and emotional strategies that can be used at school and everyday life!

Shape it: Pottery & Clay!  

Campers will tap into their creativity and try their hand at pottery and clay.  They’ll learn about famous artists, create their own master pieces and learn how to use pottery tools.

Get moving: Fitness Week!  

Campers will get moving this week and learn a variety of fitness and physical activities! They'll participate in team building activities and have fun getting active!

Mix it up: Cooking Chemistry!  

Come experiment in the kitchen while we mix, blend and stir up snacks and learn the science behind cooking.

Step Up: Hip-Hop Dance & Music!  

Join us for a week filled with dance, music and fun! Campers will be exploring hip-hop dance and music, they’ll learn basic dance steps and techniques and will prepare for an end of camp week performance.

Out of this world: Planets & Outerspace!  

Campers will take a journey through Outerspace and learn about the Solar System, our planet and create space-themed projects.

Showstoppers: Content Creation! 

Learn how to create, shoot and edit videos!

Come learn all about our wonderful state of North Carolina and the animals that inhabit it! Campers will learn about a variety of animals and their habitats.

Campers will build and create their own construction projects .

Gardening basics including how to prepare soil, choose plants and care for a garden!

RRR: Upcycled Art  

Love all things art? Join us for a week full of nothing but summer Arts and Crafts. This week campers will work with recyclable materials to create master pieces. Come prepared to get messy!

Bug Bananza: All about Bugs  

Campers will go on a wild adventure exploring the amazing world of bugs! They’ll learn about exotic creatures and get up close and personal with local wildlife!

Gems & Jewels: Jewelry Making  

Campers will design and create their own jewelry including bracelets, necklaces and earrings.

*Note: The camper must have completed kindergarten and cannot be older than 12 years of age. Half Day Summer Camp options are offered for a total of 9 weeks. Registration for each week must be done individually.

In order to reserve space, please be prepared to make a registration fee payment per week at the time of registration. Registration fees vary by camp and sliding fee scale rate. Parents/Guardians who have a current approved reduced rate assigned will receive the applicable discount at the time of registration. After June 1, deposits are non-refundable.
