We'll read a nature-themed book, then take a walk on the wild side to find the nature right outside our door. Children must be accompanied by a parent, and of course, wear boots or sneakers that can get a little dirty! Parents must accompany children. Pre-registration is required.

    Enjoy with a Full Moon Paddle on Lake Michie. We will leave as the sun sets and return under the full moon. We will provide the equipment. You will need to wear closed toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Preregistration is required and children must be accompanied by an adult.

    Durham Parks and Recreation will host a community conversation about Durham’s newest park on Hoover Road. Participants can preview the park as well as share ideas about the playground, public art, and site furnishings. They will also learn about the construction and athletic features.
