Long Meadow Pool Closed for the Summer

Annual routine inspections have identified structural concerns with our aging and beloved pool preventing it from opening this summer. The required repairs will extend past this summer. Staff will examine, evaluate and share next steps as they become available. Although we’ve been planning for this situation for years, it’s unfortunate timing prior to summer. Investing in our City’s east side through parks, trails, and pools continues to be a priority, reinforced through our Splash & Play project. Thanks to tremendous community engagement and conversations in the neighborhood, we have concept designs for the future of Long Meadow and East End Parks. The vision includes a pool at East End Park, spraygrounds at Long Meadow Park, as well as a variety of play areas, athletic courts, recreation features, and green space, with the R.
